Winter.....Wintry Mix.....Wind Chill
have repeatedly been uttered by local meteorologists. It's as though we who reside in the USA's Midwest have no windows in our homes or haven't ventured forth beyond the walls of said homes therefore we don't know what frosty fun Mother Nature is having out there, so the weather experts are compelled to remind us every evening how cold and windy it is and how much colder and even windier it's going to be.
Which is why beaches have been on my mind this week. Those I've been to, the ones I want to go back to, books, plays and movies with beach settings. Warm, sunny places with pelicans skimming the ocean's surface, sand heating the soles of my feet and tunneling between my toes, the smell of suntan lotion and salt air.....
